Archery Clinic on March 13

| As Arizona’s own Olympic Archer, Brady Ellison hosts an archery clinic on Saturday, March 13th at Ben Avery’s new Indoor Archery Range.
It’s all for a good cause…all proceeds from this clinic will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Come hang out with Brady and hear about his adventures. Be sure to bring your camera…he will be happy to pose for pictures and autograph miscellaneous items.

2010 Arizona Desert FITA Field

| The Usery Mountain Archers Club is hosting The 2010 Arizona Desert FITA Field Tournament on April 24 & 25 at the Usery Mountain Park Archery Range. This is a registered tournament for World Ranking in Field Archery. Contact Richard Doria at rpdjr45@aol.com or call Richard at 480-494-3281.

Corner Kidz JOAD Stellar in the Dec. USAA JOAD Mail-in

| James Rutherford of the Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD club claimed the compound bowman boy's class by shooting an impressive 294 that was highlighted with 24 arrows landing in the 10-count center position. In the Compound junior boy's division Travis McCurry of Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD was second with 283 points. In the men's team competition, the Corner Kidz Arizona JOAD club took top honors with a combined 861 points, shot by James Rutherford, Seth Waldroup and Travis Konrad.

JOADs Set New Records at ASAA Indoor

| In the Bowman Male Compound division, Brian Bullis from Desert Sky Archers shot a 2 x 600 round total of 1041.
In the Cub Male Compound division, James Rutherford of the Corner Kidz shot a 600 round total 559 and a 2 x 600 round total of 1110.
In the Cadet Male Recurve division, Nathan Yamaguchi from Paseo Vista Archery club shot a 600 round total 552.
In the Cadet Male Compound division, Adam Stringham of the Corner Kids shot a 600 round total 560 and a 2 x 600 round total of 1116.

2010 ASAA Outdoor Championship Registration

| The 2010 ASAA Outdoor Championship will be held at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility on Saturday, April 3, 2010 as a one day 72 arrow Qualifier followed by the “Get Set” Open which is the new set system elimination Round. Easter is Sunday April 4. State Champions will be determined by the winners of the Qualification Round.

As the State Outdoor occurs during the final preparation stages for the AZ Cup, we may have the Danage Hand Held Terminal scoring system that was used in Vegas and at the AZ Cup last year along with the Danage timing systems up and running for the State Outdoor. There may be USA Archery personnel on site to observe, train, and help out. We thank the Easton Sports Foundation for their funding which allow for such improvements. We will update this information as soon as things are finalized.

| The 2010 ASAA Indoor Championship was held this weekend, Jan. 23-24, at the Ben Avery Indoor Archery Range. The Story, Results and Photos can be found at http://www.azjoad.com/2010/2010_ASAA_Indoor.htm. Some new records were set in the JOAD classes. Look for a future update on JOAD records.
Congratulations to all the archers.
Next up is the Arizona JOAD Indoor Championship to be held on Feb. 6 at Precision High School, Phoenix.
