<title>ASAA/JOAD Container Move at BASF FITA Range</title>
<link>http://azarchery.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=281</link>
<description>Help Needed! Saturday March 1, 2008, BASF FITA
ASAA/JOAD Container Move at BASF FITA Range
All Day starting at 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The goal is to move the ASAA container, trailer and the JOAD container at the BASF FITA range so the parking lot expansion can be completed. Volunteers are needed to unload the units so they can be moved to the new west parking lot. The actual moving of the empty containers will be accomplished by a professional moving company at noon. The units will then be reloaded.

Bring gloves. If you have a vehicle and trailer, bring them to help move the equipment. We may need some portable hydraulic jacks, too. We will also groom the field.

ASAA will provide lunch and beverages for the volunteers. The ASAA will be liquidating and donating some equipment, too. ie: canopies, old timing lights, file cabinets, misc equipment.

Email azjoa&#100;&#064;&#099;ox.net to let us know if you will be joining us.

<title>2008 CAP Western Regional Championships</title>
<link>http://azarchery.com/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=276</link>
<description>Sun Devil Archery will once again be hosting the CAP Western Regional Championships. This year GUEST divisions (FITA and 900 round) will be offered.

April 18-20, 2008 - STAR FITA

Deadline to register is March 14th. Late registrations will be accepted with an additional fee and on a space available basis.

The CAP Western Regional Championships decides the best collegiate shooters from over 20 schools (PAC 10 and more). Last year, we had just under 100 CAP archers in attendance... this year should be even bigger.

Because the Ben Avery field is so large and there has been requeted interest, this year we will section off a piece of the field for GUEST archers. Guests can shoot either a FITA (adult distances only. We don't want to interfere with the AZ JOAD Champs going on that same weekend) or a 900 round. The 900 round is 60, 50, 40 meters at the large face - 30 arrows each distance. This is great for those newer archers (or the older crew) who may not be ready to shoot 90 or 70 meters.

This event is a STAR FITA, so it will count towards world records and USA Archery qualifying scores.

Pay attention to hotel reservation deadline dates as prices jump drastically if you miss them.

Keep in mind that the AAE/AZ Cup is the week before. April 9-13th. Anyone who would simply like to stay around may do so and practice with the ASU team at Papago (for free) or on their own at BASF at the practice range ($5/day) between the two events.

Also, the 3rd leg of the Olympic Trials is shortly thereafter on the same field.

Registration forms and more are available at www.sundevilarchery.com
